Ben Gray completed his 1st summer in the O&A department this past summer. He shared these words about camp as he prepares for his second summer at Towanda!
Being at camp this summer was the most exhausting, fun, eye opening, and at the end of camp – saddest time of my life. The emotions that I went through at camp can never be explained to anyone who hasn’t been there themselves. From being thrust into the world of camp to spending all of the time with the kids and making amazing friends, I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Working at O&A was a fantastic experience and watching the kids conquer the climbing wall and do the zip line absolutely made my summer! While I’ve climbed trees much higher than the height of the climbing wall, watching the kids overcome their fears, was nothing short of inspiring.
I will admit there were some points when I doubted if I was cut out for being a counselor, but that was put to rest anytime I was with my boys.
I cannot thank camp enough for an amazing summer.
I want to thank Mitch and Stephanie and all of the senior staff who made my summer so special.
